Position Description:

Service Plumbing Supervisor

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for all aspects of Service plumbing with direct responsibility for project execution while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame with available resources.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and policies
  • Install:
    • Piping and associated devices
    • Backflow systems and plumbing per code
  • Meet with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project, budget, progress and close out
  • Support sales function by assisting with quote preparation and proposal
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained for all projects
  • Provide technical support, correction and direction where needed
  • Resolve warranty issues and prepare warranty claim paperwork
  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction
  • Provide troubleshooting and hands on assistance for customer problems
  • Ensure that work performed is within the scope of work, is supported and reviewed with the customer
  • Plan workload and schedule tasks to enable the most efficient use of available manpower
  • Support customers in evaluation of plumbing system needs/problems and provide recommendations
  • Prepare proposals to implement recommendations using approved company labor rates and markups
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and open call slips
  • Monitor on time job completion and timely billing
  • Serve as on-site lead for plumbing projects –
    • Ensure timely completion of projects
    • Compete projects at or below budget
    • Coordinate materials and labor
    • Ensure safe work environment
    • Ensure customer satisfaction

Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge of larger, more complex commercial plumbing equipment
  • Understanding of single and three phase electrical systems
  • ••Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Completion of a vocational program or study or apprenticeship a plus
  • VA Journeyman or Master Plumbing license preferred
  • 3-5 years of plumbing experience
  • Supervisory experience a plus
