Position Description
Inventory Specialist 1
Primary Purpose:
Provide support to the purchasing/inventory staff.
Specific Job Duties:
- Comply with all safety standards, policies and procedures
- Assist purchasing department with procuring non-stock construction related materials
- Debit/credit stock inventory
- Assist with routine cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy
- Request material quotes from vendors as needed to maintain effective purchasing practices
- Issue purchase orders as required
- Data entry for purchase orders, unit rate orders, blanket orders, change orders and various spreadsheets
- Resolve discrepancies in invoices rejected by Accounts Payable
- Verify, approve and distribute inbound shipments (UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, etc.)
- Assist with daily deliveries (loading and unloading)
- Process and scan packing lists per RBI procedures
- Label received product with proper RBI job name and number
- Prepare and process outbound shipments
- Fill material orders from stock inventory
- Assist other team members as required
Other Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to complete training and obtain equipment certifications as required
- Ability to work on a team and interact with people
- Ability to work 10-hour days and overtime as needed
- Ability to operate and drive forklift if assigned to the Sheet Metal Department
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy
