Position Description

Sheet Metal Superintendent

Primary Purpose: Supervise all activities associated with sheet metal field installation.

Specific Job Duties:

• Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and policies. Ensure compliance.
• Assure that duct systems are fabricated and installed in accordance with plans and specifications
• Engage in continuous improvement activities. Actively pursue personal development opportunities.
• Enforce company policies and assure compliance with company procedures.
• Manage job site scheduling in a manner that supports project completion schedules while minimizing work in process inventory. Manage all sheet metal field employees under his/her supervision.
• Coordinate and mobilize all resources required to meet job schedule requirements.
• Engage all employees within span of control in order to build relationships, assess employee performance, observe work progress and assure a safe work environment. Work effectively with all departments within the company, General Contractors and other trades.
• Operate within established budget parameters. Seek opportunities to reduce costs.

Position Requirements:

• Education in the trades – Journeyman or Master’s License preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to visit individual job/project sites to visit with subordinates, other trades and customers as required
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy
