Position Description
HVAC Service Technician
Primary Purpose:
Service, maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems
Specific Job Duties:
Service, maintain and repair:
- Low voltage temperature-control systems generally associated with HVAC equipment
- Direct expansion constant volume, multiple circuited/compressor air conditioning equipment
- Water-cooled AC units up to 100 tons
- Water source heat pumps and associated equipment
- Atmospheric gas fired hot water boilers
- Air handling equipment and duct systems typically found in larger commercial systems
- Most gas fired and electric heating systems typically found in commercial equipment up to 100 tons
- Chilled and hot water piping and pumping systems and associated equipment
Other Requirements:
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work on a team and interact with people
- Ability to accurately read a ruler or tape measure
- Broad knowledge of larger commercial HVAC equipment
- Possess type I and type II refrigerant certificate
- Understanding of single and three phase electrical systems
- Must have the ability to travel to job sites and occasionally have overnight stays
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to respond to service calls after regular working hours and weekends
